Chain Weaving Samplers (Seed Beads)
Taught by Guest Teacher
Dana Hinds

Using size 11 seed beads we will create a small bracelet size sample for each of 3 different Chain Weaving designs.  Each of these designs can be used to make bracelets, necklaces or anklets.  Once you have learned these basics, you will find many other variations for each of these designs.  The 1st stitch we will cover is the Pointed Zig-Zag.  Changing the bead sizes, textures or colors can alter the finished look of this stitch significantly.  The techniques learned in this stitch can be applied for more elaborate double zig-zag and wide-web designs.  The second design we will cover is a lacy tube.  This open weave tube can be easily embellished with pearls or crystal beads and can be used alone or with a pendant.  Our third project will involve a spider weave.  This is a deceptively easy stitch, which can be used to create beautiful lace patterns.  Completer kits will be available if you wish to expand your bracelet size sampler to full necklace length.  Additional full necklace kits will also be available.  The costs for these kits will range from $6 to $20.
